How close to invoice for a special order

Hello,

How close to invoice has anyone gotten on a "custom" ordered car? I would be bringing my own money to the table, and not necessarily use BMWFS, unless there is a reason (a good deal tied to them getting more profit on the financing and thus cutting a better deal), etc.

Id be looking at a lemans 135i vert, the only thing that would keep it from being a "common" car is that I demand MT.

Thanks!

Where have you been? Glad to see you posting again!
To answer your question, I did not sign any deals till a dealer accepted a $1k over invoice offer, back in March 2008. This was on an ordered European Delivery car.

Thanks! Right now Im back in the game (bought a 1982 MB 300CD as a fill-the-gap while seeing and waiting on HPFP), looking at maybe a birthday present, in the mid-summer...

My other new acquisition, on a recent xc trip:

Im kind-of looking for $500 over invoice, performance center delivery, without any real need to do anything by any dealer. Id be looking all across the country, as I figure doing a PC delivery would negate any real interface...

I ordered mine for about $100 over invoice BEFORE the holiday cash and with the holiday cash it was about $1400 under invoice. Even if your bringing your own money you should hold onto and use BMW Financing so you can get the holiday credit as well with 3.9 financing and just pay it off at the first opportunity. The finance charges you pay during that time frame will be way less than the $1500 cash back you get so you would come out ahead. Holiday cash ends Jan 4th I believe. I had set up PCD and had a date for Jan 22nd but had to back out so now I will receive it at my dealer
