Great choice. I had a AW 135 vert with coral red. Everyone loved it. I traded it and dealer sold it before they could get it on the floor. You will love it. A brilliant car.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.

The 6 months wait is only due to the lease expiring on the Eos in June and taking delivery on the day the lease expires.

As far as the colour goes I have had various shades of Silver on the last 5 cars so a change was in order

The last 5 being -

1997 Lotus Elise
2001 BMW 330ci Convertible
2002 Mini Cooper S
2004 BMW 318 Sport
2007 VW Eos 2.0 TFSI

I have ordered the Hi-Fi Pro without hearing it but the Standard Stereo and the 8 Speaker Hi-Fi upgrade just don't cut it after having the Dynaudio upgrade on the Eos.

The Eos is a good car and great value. Up to 8/10ths is very good but lacks the chassis and suspension to elevate it further for me.

But it is a full 4 seater with a very good folding hard top incorporating a sun roof and on my lease deal was about $14,000 cheaper in a similar spec to the 125i I have ordered and I got a really good deal on the 125i. I have the Red Napa Leather, 18" Samarkand Alloys, Sport Suspension, Dynaudio with both iPod and Bluetooth Connections on the Eos. The 2.0 TSFI has enough grunt but lacks some polish putting it to the ground sometimes. Especially if you drive it like a BMW wants to be driven.

I only have the one car so was looking for something that is rewarding to drive as well as a little bit practical. At the time I bought the Eos the only four seat convertibles were the Astra, 307CC, Megane or do the jump to $70,000 plus for a Volvo C70 and Saab or further again for a C70 T5 or a BMW 325. So hence I got the Eos.

I looked at another Elise but sadly just couldn't justify it as a practical choice, although I had one as a daily driver without air conditioning when I was a little younger

Mate you will be very happy with the 125 M sport covert. Mine arrived this week after a 4 month wait and it is an awesome drive.
While not a super fast car it is a great all round package.
...only done 65kms so far!

Did they change the HiFi Loudspeaker to 8 speakers for MY10? I always thought my upgrade gave me 10...

Anyway, excellent choice! I always regret not getting Coral Red after seeing so many others with that combo. Looks like Alpine White is spreading like a virulent infection!

The 10 speaker Hi-Fi upgrade has changed to an 8 speaker package. They have deleted the rear tweeters. I don't think it applies to all MY10 cars but was a running change. It also applies now to the 3 series as well.

I had a listen to the 8 speaker setup but after the Dynaudio 10 speaker 600W set up in my current car I ordered the the Hi-Fi Professional 10 speaker package without a chance to audition it.

Seriously though, congrats on the purchase. Enjoy the wait!

nice spec blader

Nice forum( wish I had found it a few months ago)

Blader, looks like we are in same boat, I too have just ordered 125c M sport alpine white, same rims, coral interior, manual and basic nav.

Only I didn't research the stereo system too greatly, and whilst no audiophile, am sure it's going to sound pretty average. I had no way of testing an exact 125c from local dealer, only 120 c and the 125 coupe. The sound of the 125 was a enough of a distraction at the time.

Anyhow its a company car, so I could not get the $$$ stretched any further.

I ordered in late Nov, but did not want 2009 build, so the March 2010 seems ages away.

It will be interesting to see when our cars arrive, may end up on same shiP?

Hey oz125

My lease expires on the 19th of June and that is the day I will take delivery so I am planning on the car arriving in Australia in April at the earliest and ideally May.

Nice spec btw......

Sounds like you've got the timing sussed, I wish us both luck. I trade back the RX8 in 2 weeks to the BM dealer, so from then on the old capri is resurrected as stand in work bus. $10 says my March delivery comes with yours in April.

Reading one of the other threads of 4 and 6 month delivery which would make things a bit sad. May not happen but if it goes over it would be reasonable to ask dealer for a loner at the start of the overdue period?

This is my 4th lease car so hopefully I have got it right

This is my 2nd BMW on lease and they got it all right last time unlike VW who promised much and then delivered 5 weeks late which ended up costing me another years registration and CTP.
