Didnt get the VRS lip, but 3M from JL as well. I used both 3M tapes all around to the back side edge of the lip and the three screws at the cntr.

Screws alone worked well for me. However, be careful with the screws that go on to the protruding part of the lower front bumper on the corners. They are awfully close to the edge of the bumper.

Screws alone is ALL YOU NEED.

Has anyone successfully installed the VRS (real or rep) without using the screws and only using 3M tape?
Is there anyway to use the existing bolts/holes under the OEM bumper? I'm interested in this mod, yet i'm not keen on the idea of making new holes in my bumper for it. Just wondering... Thanks! |

The replica lip is pretty heavy so I'm pretty sure the 3M tape won't hold the weight of the lip.

No way it will hold without screws. Also, the lip needs to be "bent" and "shaped" into the bumper and than screwed in. I ended up just using screws with no tape. A total of 7 screws. 2 on each side and 3 in the center.

I used tape and screws. I'm considering taking the tape off because it creates an additional gap. My lip is not the VRS Style, but it's similar. It's very light.
