Lol i'd laugh if she saw this thread. Lucky we live in Oz, otherwise she'd probably stalk us and key our cars........

Good to meet you, hugh and johnno yesterday too, definately got to have more meet ups, loved the blast through the back of roseville/northbridge !

Went to Cammeray for that halloween party yesterday, still had the bug, was driving like a maniac, but loved every minute of it

Just check into it first, i beleive the 125i exhaust costs less because it doesnt remove the middle resonator.

In essence it becomes a easy as install, 2 bolts for the exhaust flage, remove the rear bracing with star allen keys and pop off the rubbers and you are done. You could do it easy with ramps and about 20 mins up your sleeve.

Justnot sure how much of a difference leaving in the resonator makes, and if you would still be buying a comparable system.

Now the link states only 128i & 135i however i have the actual performance brochure made by BMW germany and it definately states an exhaust is available for the 125i, 130i, 135i. $30 less USD for the 128i version which strangely isnt listed in the brochure.....

My mate with his 335i convertable took my car for a spin today, i swear he didnt want to get out of the drivers street and took me for a 20 min cruise through all of surrounding Bondi gunning the hell out of it just to hear the exhaust. I think he is seariously wishing he bought the 135i.

It'll be interesting to hear what the difference is (as you say, since it's Cat-back for the 125) between the sounds of yours an mine when i get her.

I'm very lucky - i sometimes park in the next-door neighbour's garage which has an under-the-car accessible garage. So i can mount the exhaust in completer luxury from underneath without hoisting or ramps

The system for the 135i is cat back only too. Difference is it takes out a resonator and replaces it with a y-bend. I beleive that y-bend doesnt come with the 125i kit. Not sure how much of a difference it makes, but it doesnt hurt to ask Dan. it's be interesting to see if the exhaust is actually the exact same from the flange back for the 135i and 125i. If that is the case we could always take off mine and put it on your car to test it out prior to purchase.

Hahahaha i was watching this today

It certainly sounds a look more consistent across the rev range than the stock exhaust.

What were your feelings on power difference? I imagine it may be more pronounced on the 125...?

TBQH i cant really tell if there is a power difference. I just love the sound and in that respect i can say 100% i am completely satisfied with my purchase. The only bad part is it makes me want to drive faster and more aggressive. I am really going to need to calm down before i do something stupid, or lose my license.

Since i have gotten the exhaust i am thinking of getting a JB3 along with my mate. I think that sums it all up. it's not that i need more power, the exhaust makes me crave more.

This is exactly what happened to my Subaru. I put on a Simota CAI, and before i knew it I was putting in low-weight pulleys!

I only want the BMW Perf parts though, so for a 125 that's pretty much just intake and exhaust for now, and i know what i want more
