Night Mode question

I have a 2010 E90 with nav and I was wondering if there was a way to make the nav switch from day to night mode automatically when it gets dark outside. My previous IS-F as well as my wife's Acura and my Chevy truck all do this.

I'm stunned that it doesn't do it too. I just set night mode to one of my button presets. There's more than I can use already anyway.

Good idea. I still wish it was automatic, but your idea will at least make the change a one button affair.
