It very much depends on offset width and tyre size. Smaller widths and tyre sizes in 17" 3 series offsets might fit if your not lowered, but it could be close to wings (fenders) on full bump. As its your mate he shouldn't object to a trail fitting?

E90 17x8 wheels seem to have a 34mm offset, compared with 17x7.5 or 17x7 128i wheels with 47mm offset.

With a 225/45-17 tyre, the E90 rims will likely rub on the wheel well liner on a 128i.

Front fitment they could work alright, rear fitment they would be aggressive. All offset dependent.

I just put on the E36 17" M3 wheels on my 135i with 225/45/17 winter tires all around. The offsets for the front were 41 and the rears were 50. They fit perfectly.

will 17 inch wheels with winter tires from 330i fit 128i?

The winter tires on these rims are 205 / 50 93Q

and the diameter appears to be the same as the summer run flats

(2 feet)

Comparing that size on an assumed worst case 8" rim of ET34 show no appreciable difference to a 245/40x17 on an ET41 8.5" rim (e36 M3 Sunflower alloy) on the rims n Tyres wheel calc . which fitted ok on my 1.
However its a case of you need to make sure for youtself as you shouldnt believe/trust everything you read on the t'interweb. or if it dont fit dont cry to me.

If you can confirm the width and offset of the wheel, we can all further help you out. Since the 1 series has such small fenders, the proper wheel/tire package is very vital in telling us if you will run into rubbing issues or not.

offset issues?

I have a set of ASA JH3 17"x7.5" wheels with a 32 offset, shod with Bridgestone LM 22 225/45x17. Is this OK for the 135i coupe. everyone seems to be mentioning bigger offsets. On my 330i they fir fine, although the rears did look a little bit "inset" relative to the fender.

Similar question here...I have 17x8 style 119 rims with 225/45/17 tires that I bought as the winter setup for my old 330ci and I was hoping to put them on my 135i this winter. I believe the offset on style 119s is 47 mm.

Thanks in advance for any help, guys.

Frank
