Question Rim Suggestions?

I have a 128i, black on black. I really want some nice new rims, but I'm not sure what to get. Any suggestions on what kind?

I'm thinking of maybe black or brushed for the color. Or should I just keep it regular? I feel like it might be weird if I get black rims cause like it's too masculine or I might look like a rapper. But I love love love that look where it's black on black with windows tinted and black rims. I think its really hot. Suggestions or comments please?

Lots of options out there. I generally recommend sticking with silver if you are going to keep the car somewhat stock, if you are doing the blackout look, then black or hyperblack is a good choice.

I recommend you look at the option of picking up a set of used multi-piece forged wheels. I know of at least 2 sets FS right now...1 is matte black with a blue time attack ring and the other is brushed with chrome lip. This is a good way to get some top notch wheels for a LOT less coin

Before everyone starts making suggestions maybe we should know about how much she is willing to spend....

I guess I really don't have a price range in mind cause I haven't really though about prices. I just kinda want to look what is out there and then make some selections and figure out the price then. I've been kind of looking at Hamann, HRE, and Asanti. I definitely want something hot and like nice, nothing cheap. You know?

I'm kinda also thinking about putting some new rims on my IS 350 as well...but thats a different story.

although nice wheels, Asanti gives me that rapper/baller vibe. If you like HRE then you would probably like some other brands like DPE, 360 forged, enkreuz, etc. I don't know if you are considering used or not but you might check out these from fellow forum members:

My 135 is BSM and it's very clearcut to me that if I were buying different wheels then I'd definitely get either the AdvanRZ's or the Volk G2's. Both I think are only available in one finish but I think it's the perfect finish, a dark gunmetal. I think the Advans look a little better but I'd probably get the Volks due to forge quality and toughness. Both are great, lightweight, sturdy wheels that aren't too flashy but they are the type wheels that will impress anyone that knows quality wheels. Even used, these wheels still retain most of their original purchase price.

Do those fit without any rubbing on a stock 135i? Also, what size tires are will work to keep it a rub-free setup?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Those BBS CH-R in the Wheel STO page are awesome but in 20" I doubt those will fit the 1 series cars. Would love to have them in 18-19" though....

I like the style and yes they would work in 19" (thats what I am running).

I am trying to remember who sells wheels very, very similar to those but at a lesser price (I paid HRE prices for my wheels and trust me it is something I will probably NEVER do again...unless I win a really, really big lotto).

Nice. Did you realize these are fairly similar (but much nicer) to the stock Audi RS4 wheels? However I couldn't find any black RS4's that had painted the wheels black or any black BMW's with black P41's to get an idea of what this would look like. Hopefully going with black won't downplay the details that you are paying for in a wheel like this.
