Are you considering this standalone ECU for use on the S65 in it's NA form?

If so, why?

Or will this be used as a substitute engine management computer for a forced induction application?

If you are thinking about trying to use a standalone ECU on the M3, you should know that the software engineers have made it very difficult to bypass the stock ECU. BMW has written in specific safeguards within the coding that will shutdown outside attempts to wrest control away from the stock ECU. (from aftermarket standalone and 'piggy-back' ECUs)

The new generation of Siemens engine management computers are programmed to shut down these third-party external devices, if it detects an attempt to override it's programming protocols. (by actively scanning for them)

Now it's technically possible to override the stock ECU if you spent enough time and money, but it would probably cost you more than you could ever recoup. I can't see anyone making the large capitol investment necessary to make this happen for a NA application.

The price tag alone would render this option moot. It makes no logical sense...

Just find an experienced stock ECU tuner to re-write (or modify) the software tables within the stock programming. They can dial in your ECU's performance for the bolt-on the mods you have installed.

You'll be much better off in the long run...

Good luck getting a standalone to work with the VANOS system. Unless you are building a race car and have a large budget don't even attempt it because those are the only M3s that are probably running a standalone. I remember reading an article about how E46 race teams struggled to get a standalone working.
