Doors/mirrors creaking in my E90

Love my new E90 except for the 'creaking' noise out of the doors and mirrors. Sometimes when I open the car doors or shut them, I hear a distinct 'creaking' sound. The mirrors too seem to have the same issue. Not sure if it happens during driving but it's hard to tell with the engine noise.

Problem is not 100% replicable but it's happened a few times in my 2 weeks of ownership. I know a few other posters who have reported the same problem. My question is more around the resolution - has BMW been able to fix this for anyone? Have they atleast identified it as an issue? I'll definitely bring this up in my 1200 mile service.

Lots of posts on this if you do a search, here is one:

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...mirror+housing

The mirror housing seems to be the culprit for most of the noise. I had a rattle coming from the door that was fixed with some felt tape along the bottom edge where it was rubbing the frame. Haven't heard of anybody post with a successful warranty claim on the mirror housing but its just a matter of time (if it hasn't happened already.)

I occasionally have some creaking from the mirror housing on the passenger-side door on my E90 335i. I've just learned to accept it.

Are you talking about where the side mirror rubs the door frame or where the bottom of the door rubs against the car frame.

Thanks in advance

I haven't noticed it, seems like a lot of people are reporting this problem. Will try to hear it when I drive my car tomorrow.

Has anyone experienced creaking sounds from somewhere in the back - my best guess is from the rear glass. It sounds like knocking a coin on the glass.

These are not constant but occur only over bumps (i.e. when the body gets stressed) for the first 5 minutes until the car gets warmed up or something. This occurs especially when moving out of my parking spot (= lower temp) to the direct sunshine on a hot day (= higher temp).

Anyone with these?

The latter, seemed like it was along the bottom edge of the door and the frame. I had to drive around with a tech laying on the floor in the back seat to pin it down.

The mirror thing i generally can't hear when driving but when opening and closing the door it creaks pretty badly (seems like the out housing is poorly fit with the adjacent plastic pieces.
