beautiful manifold... hardly seems necessary... seems like youd need to see a lot higher pressures etc to see benefits with that intake.
Also composite intakes woudl seem like they would be better for intake temps. I'll keep my opinions to myself and sorry to thread jack! |

No problem, I think we are both doing the same thing when it comes to getting parts...
Can't wait for one of my sponsors to finish up with the contracts and start working with ER. Quote:
All the high hp tuners such as the 1000+ whp supras, high hp mr2's, nsx's, and other cars all use aluminum intake manifolds and don't have a problem with air intake temps. I'm sure ER will test out all possible materials and designs to find the best, as the amount of R&D they put into their products is excellent. |

Composites like carbon fiber would not work in a boosted application. It is only viable on an naturally aspirated motor. The pressure that you see on a boosted application is immense compared to vacuum pressure in a NA car. If the composite intake manifold were to fail, it would crack and shatter into a million pieces. There's only one place for those little pieces to go. Granted there might be people crazy enough to try it but we're not. We try to avoid damaging peoples cars if possible .
