k thats what I was hoping for. I can financially get the 135i but would be a stretch so I'm getting the 128i but love the 135i aesthetics.

What is that option that gives you that plastic looking area by the exhaust of the car. I like it.
Is there a way to get that and none of the other expensive options?

Do you guys know what it is called?

Here's my 09 128 with M-package and euro front fogs. It was a DIY project as the M-package was not an option when I ordered mine.

It's the performance or aero rear bumper with a cosmetic diffuser. And yes you can buy it separately. You can buy one from Dan at United for about $500 or so.

That's where I got mine. Note that painting and shipping will double that price.

The M-Sport 128i is within a few hundred bucks of the Sport 135i. Doesn't really make sense unless you are just dead set against turbos.

Configured on bmwusa.com as alpine white/black leatherette/glacier trim for both cars and no other options:

128i with M-sport - $32,675

135i with Sport - $37,775

So the difference is really $5K.

Here is how I ordered my car in 2008:
135i, leather, poplar trim, sport package, comfort access $39,725 (I paid $36,693 for an 08)

Compared to:
128i, leather, poplar trim, M-sport, xenons, comfort access $36,575 plus most folks are going to want the 18" wheels so add another 2k on top of that.

So when you look at comparably equipped 135i sport vs. the 128 M-sport, the small difference in price really doesn't compute.

Ok, but your price for the 135i is a negotiated price and the 128i is MSRP, which nobody will pay. So that already equals approximately +$3k for the 135i, not including taxes and insurance.
