The ALMS M3 sounds great but...
nothing beats that Ferrari V8 sound
Hung out at Long Beach for a bit today watching some practice laps Last edited by golemite; 04-18-2009 at 01:46 AM.. |

Great pics!
Agree, had a chance to attend two LeMans races last season. Ferrari exhaust note P-Car sounds great as well...can't wait to hear the new GT2 M3 in person!

Every year I go to the St. Petersburg Grand Prix. Went this year with the excitement of seeing the ALMS M3 in action and wasn't disappointed in their finish. (2nd)
However, the M3 was the weakest sounding one on the track. I was really surprised at how quiet and non-aggressive it sounded. SS

Very cool pics, but I disagree on the tone thing.
I was at sebring and I gotta say the M3 was the sweetest sounding GT car there. It could definately be louder...not sure why its quiet like it is. But as far as the Ferrari sound, I dunno, the racing version just doesnt have that omg drool that the street ones do with a Tubi for example. Just my opinion...

Anyone else notice the BMW team uses Rays/Volk wheels now? Kinda silences all those that complain Volk wheels are rice on the new M3....
