It's is so frustrating; I have tried so many times and it never works Any kind of help would be much appreciated...

Yes, I have. It works perfectly.
I asked the dealer to do if for me when I took delivery and had to do it myself again when my bat went dead. Where are you getting stuck?

I found an app that helps. Sorry I can not remember. If you google it you can find it. It allowed me to pair it with the car, but I can not get the phonebook to transfer.

N95
I also have the N95 and, you will have a on-off connection as, someday, all is ok. others days, you start the discussion with the bluethooth and, suddenly, it disconnect. do not try to have the phonebook. my girlfriend with the X3 (basically same phone system) uses a MOTOROLA and, its perfect

For reference, here is BMW's official BlueTooth Pairing Compatibilty Info: UK-http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/bluetooth...312___,00.html US-http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...blePhones.aspx . Phones from both lists apply.
N95 isn't listed although from the bit of research I did, those attempting to pair N95s to BMWs have had better degrees of success when they've updated their N95 firmware to the latest offered by Nokia. -- So make sure you're updated. I have read where some people have had success transfering the phone book by selecting everyone in their contacts and sending it via bluetooth as a business card to the car when in pairing. Others have done it by downloading the Nokia_810_Contacts application from Nokia. I have not been able to get either method to work.

Ok now you have caught my attention. I am going to attempt to get my contacts into the car. Via the Nokia 810 Contacts application.
So I have downloaded the software and deleted the pairing between the car and phone. Problem now is when I select the app on my cell all it says is "processing". Which stops me from following the rest of the steps. Anyone had any luck? I am using these instructions: http://www.parrot.com/documents/en/s..._nokia_810.pdf

Going around in circles here looking at a way to get my phone book on the car.
I am going to try this method next, which I found on a nokia forum. This is a work around to the Nokia 810 Solution: Thanks for the notes. I have a 2007 120i update and a new E51 nokia. had all the same problems. I followed your steps and it all works now. I downloaded the S60 update to my pc, then transferred it using pc suite to my phone. I installed in on the phone using 'installations'. I followed some other steps on another forum here to set up a new 'sync' setting. I called it bmw, set it up for contacts: included in sync: yes remote database: contacts synch. both ways connection settings: server version 1.1 data bearer: bluetooth host address: pc suite username: none password: **** allow sync requests: yes accept all sync requests: yes I then went back to my car (for the 5th time) deleted all pairings, reestablished the pairings. On the e51 I went into contacts, sync, selected 'bmw' (the new profile), ok. I also went back to my installations menu, hit download on my contacts manager and it all started processing then amazingly transferring data. 30 seconds later all 300 contacts copied across. only problem is that I haven't figured out why the a-z address book in idrive doesn't match my 'first name/last name' listing on the e51.
