Disabling the anti dazzling mirrors?
Any one know how to disable the anti dazzling mirrors?
Im using a bit of electrical tape to cover the sensor, but does anyone else know of a better way. Maybe a fuse some where? They are very annoying at night as I cant see what type of car is behind me. Almost got a ticket the other night when a car behind me with bright lights followed me for a while. I was about to wot it when common sense told me not to do it. I didnt know he was a cop until he tailgated me closer and I can barely make out his hood lights. Wish the 1er came with a on/off switch for this option. |

Since you can't turn the clown nose to manually dim the mirror, I doubt that the auto-dimming can be disabled.
I guess some folks like this "feature", but for me it's an answer to a question no one should have asked. Unfortunately, I wanted the Premium Package on both my BMWs so like you, I'm stuck with them. Tom |
