IPhone 3G Bluetooth Sound Issues

Does anyone else have issues with the Iphone 3G? I get so many complaints about the sound quality when using the integrated bluetooth. I usually have to yell for people to hear me, and even then it's garbled for them. I can hear people on my side with no issues. The only odd thing is when I dial a number, the dial tone is extremely faint.

I've tried a BB Storm in the car and the difference is night and day, so I don't believe it is the car. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could improve this? (I tied unpairing and repairing but got same results) It's becoming a real hassle. (I also have all iphone updates)

Thanks!

Hum. I have an iphone 3G and don't have those issues. Perhaps your bluetooth module is bad?

There was a somewhat long thread about the iP 3G in this sub-forum, but those issues were mostly related to echo. Worth a search and read, however.

I have exactly the same problem. I can hear clearly but everyone complains about my voice being too quiet. I have 09 iDrive and 3G iphone. I have noticed you can adjust the volume using the iphone volume as well as the cars volume control. I have tried turning up the volume on the iphone to see if helps.

I am having similar problems. Also just got the Snap in for the Smart Phone option and it doesn't seem to do a thing!

- I do not believe the dock connector can add signal strength
- It does not show up as an ipod in the iDrive
- It DOES charge.

I am having the same complaints from others, I can hear them but they say my voice is too quiet...even when I talk loud. I have the 09 idrive and the 3G adapter with smartphone integration, I think we need some help.
