Launch Control: How?

Hey guys,

Before you flame, I have already tried searching for it in the forums and cannot find a single post on the specifics of how to do it. Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks

1) apply the brake
2) DSC off
3) gear change to S6 (only available with DSC off)
4) push gear knob forward (and hold) ==> checkered flag comes to display
5) release brake, full throttle (and hold !)
6) realese gear knob ==> take off

as long as you hold full throttle you don't need to shift...

Neither the book nor the M5 guide worked even after driving for 15 miles. So I'm not sure anymore. Does the year of the car matter? I did receive the M-DCT update.

I can't believe you couldn't find any threads about this. There's sooo many of these about LC and how to do it.

How many miles since the update? There is a certain number of miles after the update you have to drive (not 1250 miles again) to have it start working again.

I'm almost at 10,000 miles. I would think launch control would be available now even after 15 miles of highway driving.

If you have 10k miles on the car, and the procedure given in post #4 above doesn't work, then you need to take your car to dealership.

Fusion, are you getting the checkered flag indicated on the dash? Are you selecting S6?
