6MT gear ratios
Any of you think the car would be faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile if it had a shorter 3rd and 4th?

I was thinking 3rd topping out at 95 compared to 108 and 4th at 125. I just wonder why the gears are so long in comparison to the e46 m3, seems they could've made the car quicker if 3rd and 4th were a tad shorter.

The gears are longer as the powerband is longer, but the final drive is shorter. BMW knows what it is doing. |
