JB+
I received my JB+ in the mail at my grandparents in NJ this morning and I installed it as soon as I opened the package. I installed it with on hand in 2 minutes, you do not get much easier than that. I turned the boost down to the min setting because I am running it on to of the DINAN stage 2 software and I wanted to see what the car could take without limping in steps. I ran the car three times and up'd the boost each time to see if I limped. I got all the way to the default setting 2.75 without the car limping at full throttle. I figured I would drive home the 150 miles on that setting and increase on Tuesday at ICS on the Dyno and see the best setting. One thing I like about the DINAN software is the lowend torque the car has it feels like a big block V8. The problem I have with the DINAN software is that it tapers down so much at the top end. Well the JB+ seems to have taken care of this problem It feels like I strapped a rocket on the back of the car the increase in power reminds me of the first day with my DINAN software. I think anyone that does not want to go into the ECU and install a JB3 then this is exactly what you need. Two thumbs up

Thanks for the review I would make sure you get one of the BT Scan Tools if you are going to play with boost and mix tunes that way. Just want to be safe, but glad to hear its working great for you!

Would you mind elaborating a little on how you installed it? It sounds like it was very quick, but my understanding was that in the 135i, you need to either remove the airbox or the underbody panel...
And congratulations! |

Yes, you do need to remove the stock air box. If you have an aftermarket intake, you're probably fine. I have the Injen dual cone and was able to install it in a few minutes. Having somewhat small hands helped.

If you have an intake it is very easy because you can get both hand on it although you only need one after you are used to it. If have the factory intake you can probably get away with just taking off the air intake pipe off the plenum. You can also jack the car up and get it from underneath and not take off anything you can get right to it from under the car.
