USB Flash drive directory browsing question...
Is there a way to scroll through the folders faster than using the right dial really slowly? I have a TON of music all properly alphabetically sorted by filename and folders (150 folders), and would like to find a better alternative for finding my music as opposed to scrolling from the top to bottom.
I suppose I can reorganize the folders for faster access than having them all dumped in the root directory, but if theres a way to scroll faster that would be awesome... any help would be great, thanks!

If you are in the playlist and want to change the song or artist you dont need to go again on top of your playlist. Just hit CURR and it will go back to your previous browsing then from there you can scroll again and to go further hit the arrow up button if you have multiple playlist. I dont have idrive

Quick question on the same topic.....lets say I DL 200 songs from a flash drive, then I want to add a few more. Do I clear out the flash drive then add just the new songs to the car? Or if I left all the songs originally on there and just added the new ones, would the car know to just download the newly added ones? And would it be still under USB 1?

This is what Amazon says about my USB card -
Speed: 18MB/s Read / 9MB/s Write. I don't think that's slow at all for a Flash Drive. It's ok though, I went ahead and put my albums in separate genres so there is less scrolling on the right dial, and its a helluva lot easier to move up a directory than scroll through the list itself. How BMW didn't allow for steering wheel navigation of the file structure is beyond me though.

I don't think he talking about the speed. I have the same issue and it drives me nuts. If you know a song you want to hear you can get to it without scrolling for minutes at a time. I wish there was a button to jump 20 songs at a time
