It's fine to be honest. I live in a townhouse at the moment with the garage under the main living space - it keeps the garage at about 40F during the night so leaving in the morning is fine.
It's more of a problem when I leave a client and the car's been parked outside all day but I let it run for 1-2mins before driving off and keep the rev's < 3000rpm. In both situations, when the heater starts cranking warm air (< 5mins), I know I'm good to rev the engine higher. |

at a balmy 0F, i have no problems. i press start, it starts. motor feels fine, doesnt' stutter, etc.
reving above 3,000 has been pointless, since 0 is too cold for salt to work on the roads, and the roads are all slippery. overall though, I'd say no problems. i was actually a little curious to see if it registered negative numbers. it stayed at 0 most of today, and it really felt colder (windchill was -20 to -30). |

It amazes me just how long the oil temp takes to get up to normal, and that's at only - 4 degrees here in the UK.

Coldest it EVER gets here is a brisk 20 degrees. Not too cold, but the damn wind is what always kills me.

I wish I had seen this yesterday. Mine was at -23. A new F150 truck that sleep outside that night did not start. My 135 sounded a little hard for a few seconds but did just fine... Can't wait for all the ice to melt so that I can drive normally again..
