Pre-Delivery Pics
My AW 135i is being prepped for delivery on Saturday, and I took a few pics of the car in its pre-delivery stage today (in great anticipation)..

In answer to your question BMW233, I returned to my dealer of 12 year standing despite being romanced by a new and nearby competing dealer. Not sure if this is why I haven't received the most regular of updates (in fact I initiated most) by way of an assumption I already know how the drill goes. Having said that, I have been waiting 6 months partly due to our decision to delay for the new iDrive. See my introductory posting for the gory details:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21251 I'm expecting my car to have docked in the last day or so. Though it's probably still a good couple of weeks before it arrives at the Dealer, I have not heard from them concerning my car at this stage. Being in a similar situation to you concerning rego plates though mine are stored at the RTA, I emailed them yesterday just in case. They have been good at replying to me on emails. I was in Melbourne last year and remember questioning a sales person at BMW Melbourne on the news of the then imminent new iDrive. Shocked, he quickly logged onto 1Addicts like I suggested and retrieved the leaked UK Marketing PDF to which I was referring At that time now that I reminisce, there was a SGM in the showroom and a Space Grey 3-series coupe and I was trying to imagine how a Space Grey 1-series coupe would look! |

I found the dealer got in touch with me to finalise stuff at their end (paperwork, etc), ie. usually after it goes through customs. My new replacement plates will be arriving AFTER I get the car, so will have to drill the holes myself. |

Good luck with the drilling! Is there a drilling template or something you can borrow from the dealer to help?
I've just heard from my Dealer that with a bit of luck, I should have the car before the Australia Day weekend. :w00t: The car has been physically unloaded at Port Kembla - which is a good thing given the WW website says the vessel has since left for Brisbane! |

In the end I didn't have to do anything, as their service technician stamped our other plates for the e46, and the 135i already had the new plates affixed. Smooth sailing with them. :roundel:
