what does your CD do when you turn ignition off?

sounds a silly question you may think.....

however, when i turn the ignition off on my 1er for any length of time, say over night or when parking for a few hours it resets the CD to the start of the current track. Now normally this would not matter, but i picked up a few mix CD's the other day and even though they are nearly 90mins long it is actually only 1 track.

so far i have listened to the first 25 minutes of one of them about 10 times over! fast forwarding is not really an option as it still takes forever.

im wondering if my professional stereo has a fault, or is it just the way it is?

CDs?? Forget the CDs, and get an ipod. The 90s are long gone.

no a normal purchased CD, just all 1 track, with no markers.

but my player does this on all CD's. Its just not a problem normally as it just resets to the start of the song (3-5mins).

ohh i have ipod connection anyway, but imo cd still sounds better

Legitimate CDs are great if you have the audio setup for it, +1 for having them

Yeah, I just love thumbing through all my CDs. If you have more than 30, do you carry all with you in your trunk or back seat. How about a 50 disc CD changer. I have a 30G ipod with over 1600 songs. Purchase an ipod, the 90s are long gone.
