3 beeps from speakers

Has anyone heard 3 successive beeps coming from their tweeters? It's very consistent for me: loud enough to hear over the radio and two high-long/one low-short tone in that order. At I first thought this was my local AM station just running some tests but yesterday I was playing some mp3's off of my thumb drive and it beeped at me again. I checked for errors and I got the "ok" so I'm a bit clueless as to what it could be. I tried checking out all of my settings to see what could be causing this but I didn't really see anything that dealt with audible warnings. So for now I turned off traffic information in nav as a quick shot in the dark but I'm pretty sure that's not the culprit.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

I suspect what you're hearing is the 'hour memo' chiming on the hour... It can be disabled easily using your iDrive or OBC stalk. To be sure, make a note of the time when you hear it.

Paul,
You were spot on, it was the clock beeping at me. I usually start my morning/afternoon commute about ten after the hour so I guess that's how I've been missing it these past few months. Thanks for the help.

I'm sure there must be someone in the world that likes to have an hourly chime but I'm yet to meet them
