Fuel Mileage w/ DINAN Stage 1 or 2

Anyone here with a 135i that has installed a Stage 1 (or Stage 2) that may be able to comment on the impact to gas mileage? Thanks.

it would be the same with any other tune on any other turbocharged car. lower average in the city and slightly higher on the highway.

I definately did not notice any differance with the stage 2 but I don't really drive hard in the city.....Of course if you drive hard you might notice a slight drop

I have a 6spd man w/ Stage 2 and drove 60 miles all highway the other day: average speed 72.1 and average MPG was 29.0. By the way I do not have cruise so I think it would improve if I did.

I just drove the 135i race car across the country and back with Dinan Stage 2 and the mileage amazed me. I don't know if it's better than stock, but it certainly isn't worse. I had to be getting in the very high 20s to maybe even 30 if going slower (55 mph construction zones).

Question to those with Dinan Stage II, how many of you still have cruise control? I am considering getting this tune next summer, but will not if it compromises my cruise control. And, any idea why it interferes with cruise control in the first place?

Thanks!

The only way I could have driven that race car back and forth across the country in the time that I did (ex: Huntington Beach to Corning, NY in 48 hours) was if it had Cruise Control. I used CC for the majority of my over 5000 miles across the country and back.

were you the one driving the car in the race on Saturday at PIR? if so I was talking to you in the garage before the race about the differential and other mods on the car. It was cool to see the 1'er out there showing it's presence
