Contis on...
After a few kms, the difference is like night and day. No crash bang, no road noise, no annoying bumping... they are fantastic! Not tested the traction yet... steering doesn't feel affected at all yet!
Here are some pictures, ill put up some more info when I fully test them.. |

I'm glad you like them, they have a fairly healthy tread wear rating also so they should give you many thousands of km's of grip even with your extra killerwasps . I love mine, if I had a pick of any tyre of any cost I would get these again. Let me know how they handle when you open it up in 2nd gear. I am running 38 psi in the rear and 40 in the front, that seems to be the combination that suits my day to day driving habits. Enjoy them:thumbup:

I would start at 40 all round and see how that feels, remember the suspension is set up for a less compliant sidewall. I dropped the rears to 38 after 2-3 weeks and I feel it's a good compromise between grip and the tyre squirming under heavy acceleration.

Swift, I dont get the squatting you mention. I checked pressure today, 42 at the rear (it was hot) and 38 at the front)
Is that right? The tyres started life very slippery, but as they warm up and wear in they seem better. Will need to put a few kms on them. Far softer ride though! |

That pressure seems OK, you should start getting some grip within a couple of 100km's. The "squat" may have something to do with the DTC, I will do some more test runs with it off.

No, I run the pressure the other way round, (cold) 40 in the front and 38 in the rear. Just play it by ear and switch it around until you get a feeling you prefer.

I bought the M-mobility kit that comes with the M3 (no spare in M3) I used a voucher I got when I bought my car. I think it was about $140, the electric pump is V good quality, I pumped a tyre from flat to 32 PSI with it in about 2 minutes. All the gear sits nicely in the well to the left of the battery.

Bought mine (ContiComfortKit) from Donellans in Box Hill - Give Mark a call.
It was way less than $200. Fits next to Batt in boot.

I bought it a few days after I got the car, so cannot remember the exact price, but I think it was closer to $100 than $200. I have sent you a PM
