It's the same engine although it seems to be a slightly less powerful tune in Australia.

There's a SSK available for the 128i - can't see why it wouldn't fit our 125i...

I installed a SSK on my 135i last week, and I initially did not like it. But then I got used to it the second or third time I drove it, and now I think it's great! Cost me $900 installed but it comes with the Performance knob and shift boot, which would have accounted for $250 of that.

The demo 135i I drove had the SSK on it and I liked it a lot. The heavier shifter and alcantara leather boot were very nice on the hand and eye.
Will have a play with the stock fitment but will most likely have one of the performance kit fitted after delivery so I can afford the envy, I mean Luxury Car, tax. |

Hey i even know of one for sale if you want, (joke) But seriously for a second, i will keep my eye out for high quality components that will add to the enjoyability of your ride. There isn't that much interest in tuned 135i's yet so i would expect the 125i market to be less so. |

OK BMW tell me that for a 125i there is no listing for a SSK.
Now realistically i can't see to much difference but they do list a different kit for the 130i and the 135i. I think this will be like the Brembo brake conversion from a 135i to a 125i, i need a car and some parts and i'll work out an answer once and for all. Maybe if your keen approach Kris about buying his and give me your car for a bit so i can work it all out. At the same time i can work out issues if any for the SSK. Guys, i am happy to work this stuff out for you, i just need your input for what you want and a car to test on. Let me know how you feel about it Thanks Guys |
