10mm wheel spacers
I have read on this forum that we can run 10mm spacers on the front of our cars for an improvement in looks and handling.
Can we run them on the rear also? Would they fit? Would they improve handling? Would they add understeer? Would the wider track look good? Is wider really better? |

If you widen the front track of the car via spacers, you will REDUCE understeer.
If you widen the rear track of the car via spacers, you will INCREASE understeer. Do BOTH at the same time the car would be able to pull more lateral G's, but the oversteer/understeer relative to eachother would negate eachother. So the car would grip more, but you would have about the same understeer/oversteer characteristics. About how it looks it completely up to you. I personally think that a flush wheel/tire looks better than a "sunk in" wheel. You'll need the spacers, and a quality set of wheel studs or longer wheel bolts. It's a relatively inexpensive mod. Great advice. I do recommend increasing the track of the vehicle in equal amounts all around or doing the rears only. The car comes stock with understeer built in for safety reasons so having a wider rear track will help dial that out. A set of sway bars would also help out with providing a more neutral stance.
I do recommend the H&R TRACK+ Spacers as they are forged magnesium alloy construction and produced for street or track use so you can rest assured they won't crack under use. |

Nick - Adding spacers to the rear axle only, will increase the understeer even more. Increase/decrase, under/over... wait, I'm confused now too.
Dale - If you are on the stock wheel/tire setup, sounds good to me. Maybe pickup a set of 5mm first, try that on the front axle. If you like it and have enough clearance, pickup the 10mm |

Increasing track in front will reduce understeer. I'm putting 5mm spacers in front with 225 tires in front and taking it to the track. I am also installing vorshlag camber plates to dial in more negative camber. I'll let you know how much this helps with understeer.

Vorshlag plates
Vorshlag plates
Just drove home with Vorshlag plates in. The car is squeaking like an old bed spring-mostly at slower speeds not on the highway. I`m at max Neg Camber -2.1 What could be causing that? |

Camber plates cause squeaking. Im pretty sure theres a way to fix or better it. For some reason i think installing them the other way around helps but im not sure.
