Ahhh, yes. Didn't think about the colour. Could very well be the reason. THat said it only has 250km on the clock which seems a bit low for them to be offloading it already.

This ad dosn't surprise me at all !

I'm confident it's an ex-demo, which they want to sell before clocking more km's from more demo drives...

Same story here in Melb. with one BMW dealer I've been going to, ie: they have 2 135i demo cars (coupe and a vert) and plan to sell them once they hit over 200km on the odometer...they are actually for sale now with around 150km on them.

I don't think it's got anything to do with the colour, sedona is quite well liked, according to what this dealer has told me and their no.1 selling colour for the 1 series coupe and vert so far (for this dealer) has been cashmere silver, not AW !

As good and desirable as the 135i is, there will come a time that sales will slow down, because everyone who wants or can afford one - has one !

This happens with most car types out there and that's when the dealers start being a little more 'plyable/negotiable' with getting a good or better deals etc.

I've seen this happen with so many of my past car purchases :smile:

It's only done 250km so unlikely a demo.
Most likely cancelled order. Someone struggling with interest rates. Would be a good deal avoiding the LCT hike.
There's been plenty of advertising on print and TV.

Bugger if this isn't the same as I have on order. Mine is somewhere in the Indian Ocean on a ship called Torrens, only dif is mine comes with prof navigation. Ordered this car straight off the catalogue thinking the colour was similar to my REX. Saw the real thing last month in Melbourne and was shocked at the misrepresentation. Have spent the last 6 weeks convincing myself rust is good, finally decided it will be OK so please don't ruin my day bagging the colour....

I hear you bro. I get my SedRed 135i tomorrow. Admittedly there is a slight diff between catalogue colour and real colour. I saw the metal swatch before I ordered and loved the way it glowed in the sunlight.

I'd rather have something different....bugger it if ppl think its a hard colour to sell...I didn't buy my car for the next person.

I'm yet to see a sedona red car in the flesh. All my colour choices were throw into disarray at the get together..... Appliance White looks hot !

We have a Sedona in our garage were I live...So I have seen it up close.

Dont get me wrong...Sedona does look great, especially in the 135i.

I just personally dont like it..

xa-coupe, go to BMW Doncaster, they have one there - it was my 1st encounter with a sedona red 135i and after seeing it in the flesh, I love it !!!

I think it's one of those colours you need to see in real life, to pass final judgement :smile:

It's also one of those colours that will look different under different light conditions, I viewed it in sunlight and shade and night time - and it looked superb under all conditions, it actually looked better through my sunnies, it was more redder with shades on LOL :smile:

Sedona red also gives you the choice of more interior colours combinations, whereas AW is very limited...

Obvious drawback is the extra $$$ for metallic paint....
