OT: BMW M breadvan
I posted this on another forum. Anyone interested in sharing this purchase with me?
-------------------------------------------- I have always been a massive fan of the M coupe (previous generation). Anyway my friend who owns an immaculate one called me today to let me know that his is up for sale. Now this car is completely beautiful! He is festidious and have spared no expense in getting the car to the current condition. What should I do? I am so damn tempted, but if I get it then it will just be a garage queen just as it has been for my friend. http://carsales.com.au/used-ca...ecs=3 |

Every time when Wayne wants to buy a car. I said go on, I will drive it for you haha.
Richard is going on to something sensible he said... I think Eva was behind him at the time.

Richie is buying a M3 CSL. Not quite the sensible car that Eva was hoping for. I think he must have told her that he is getting a proper 4 seater BMW this time. Lol.

Really Wayne? It is very sensible... at least the list of mods in the CSL is far less.... (or am I very wrong all together).
Cozza, good pick up. He needs a shave now and then.

Kris, as far as I know, this is the first time he is trying to sell it as he has his eyes set on a M3 CSL. I really doubt what you are saying is true, unless he was just getting itchy feet previously with something else. Why would he spend $24k on the car if he was trying to sell it? Also why would I be concerned? Richard is my friend (and Taka's) and he has great integrity!

Taka, don't count on it. You know what he is like! Do you know how much he spent on the 350z? I think his car was the closest Nismo 350z we are ever going to see in Australia! Knowing him, he will start doing the same thing to the CSL as he did to the M coupe. When he is done with restoring it to brand new condition I will buy it from him hahaha.

Yeah, worth buying the car from him. Spend tens of thousands of dollars to sell it for hundards...

With a M Roadster in the family I can tell you now the power delivery is nothing like the 135i. More ponies, but less torque - and it comes on later too so it needs to build up a bit which can make it feel relatively sluggish until it reaches the mid 3,000s. Very heavy pedals in comparison and rough as anything when compared to the 135i's lightweight clutch and smooth ride. Lots of 'character' and plenty of fun to drive, however I think a lot of this would be lost with the clown shoe version as there's no getting the roof down on sunny days.
Z3 M Roadster vs Z4 M Roadster - I'd choose Z3. Z3 M Breadbox vs Z4 M Breadbox - I'd choose Z4. |

Taka is on every forum because he must be bored at work. Don't you know that specialist doctors get paid a lot of money but they don't do that much? Lol.
Good to see you here Richie. So answer my question. Are you going to be fanatical about the M3 CSL too and change everything? If you do, just make sure you call me again when you want to sell it man! Haha. |

Seen this car in the flesh at FI.
Stunning. No other word for it. The interior is just as good as the exterior. I love how this car is popping up on all the forums

Smarm, I saw this car last week at FI when Damian was doing his usual magic to it, and I loved it to bits! Then Richie calls me exactly a week later to tell me it's for sale. He is a cruel man. Cruel cruel man!
I had this car on Vwvortex too, but no thanks to Kris and a couple of others the thread is now locked. |
