Pirate, there are at least 1 Quaife with 3.46 ratio, 2 Quiafe with standard ratio, plus 1 Drexler LSD with 3.46 ratio (moi!) on Australian members' cars. Go to the Aussie section of the forum to ask any LSD question if you like.

HUGE bang for the buck here. You don't get a nice new shiny part to look at, but you'll know it's there the next time you're taking a corner.
Before HP Autoworks Quaife LSD. Here's the E-Diff in action. See how smok-EEEE that inside tire is? With the Quaife LSD from HP Autowerks. |

Tell us about the Quaife integration? Any install problems, issues, etc.?
Did it just bolt up normally without any headache? Does the car have any "new noises" or drivetrain sounds? Is the HP part a new rear diff with the Quaife integrated or a refurbished diff? (I am looking for a nice clean install. When we put the Quaife in some of the first 02 MINI's the darn thing did not even fit, if I recall we had to grind away a bit of the transfer case...early adopters syndrome.) Thanks. |

How much for the part, how long to install (rough guess), and other comments would be really appreciated!

Does e-Diff even work if it's allowing that much wheel spin??? Thanks for the pic.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Brand new bolted BMW final drive units are used for the built. However, once in a while we do find good used cores and we will post when we do, and they will retail less than $3995. Currently, the Xmas special is $3595 for the complete Quaife Final Drive unit. |

It should not affect your warranty, unless something in the driveline fails because of the Quaife, which is highly unlikely. When you are ready, I can refer you to great installer in your area. Harold |

No offense HP, but I (and I presume others) would rather hear that from an end customer rather than the vendor.
I know if I do pull the trigger on a 1er, an LSD will be at the top of the mod list, ahead of any tune. The car has plenty of power, the handling could use a smidge of help tho! |

With a quaife there is no sound at all. You wouldn't even know it is there until it starts working. SO much more control that the POS standard diff.

HP Autoworks had our diff swapped out in a few hours and we were back on the road. We threw our stock unit in the trunk of the car and it's now sitting on a shelf. If I need to return the car back to stock all I need to do is pop the old diff back in and I'm back to original. |

I've been thinking about an HP Autoworks Dif for months. I'm just kinda trying to budget, and I think a good suspension setup might take priority for me. The price is just higher than I'm used to for a LSD solution!
