OT: Sandown track day - 12 July
Hey guys, I am doing a mate (Kevin) a favour by posting this for him. Hope to see some of you there!
-------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Everyone We're conducting a High Performance Training and Track Driving Day at Sandown on Saturday 12th July 2008. We will be running the day as an 'open pit lane' day, but we will also have 4 qualified (Certificate 3 and 4) instructors with lots of experience. We also provide lunches, tea / coffee / soft drinks, flag marshals and medical / rescue crew. Instructors on this day will include Dean Canto V8 Supercar Champ Darren Hossack Outright lap record holder at Sandown Audi Sports Sedan (1.08.53) Dean Fiore Porsche Carrera Cup star You do not need a CAMS or ASSA licence to participate in our High Performance Training and Track Driving Days The format we run to is: 3 groups of 15 drivers, twenty minutes of track time per hour. Start time is 8.30 am for safety briefing, track is open from 9.00 am until 4.00pm Cost is only $245.00 per driver. I assume its a not a racing noise day? Otherwise at $245 it is not that bad value for 5-6 sessions.
WAY, do they require anything special fitted to the car? Eg. bonnet straps/fire extinguishers/battery stickers/etc....

I don't believe there is any restriction. Bring whatever you want. Road car race car. ANd if it is a road car, then no you don't need all those things you mentioned.

Once my 135i arrives, I'll definitely do a track day or two. Doubt my 120i would be worth the bother....
