Australian monthly photo competition

Hey guys,
now that we're starting to take delivery of our cars Down Under, I've taken it upon myself to open up an Australian Photography competition, for Aussie members only.

Here's the deal:

Comp is run monthly, with entries accepted up to and including 25th of each month. Voting (by user poll) takes place between the 25th and the 30th,31st (except Feb!), and the winning photo is transformed into a 1Addicts desktop calendar available for download, like the one below... (hope you don't mind Kris, but it's such a great shot!)

Rules are simple:

Minimum of 1024x768 pixels, but the higher the better!
One entry per person per month
Australian members only
Must be your own photo
Photos of the BMW 1 Series only

So, get those cameras out and start getting creative!!

Corey, there has to be a separate class of entry for Kris and you, otherwise you guys will just be hoarding calendars!!

Hi Corey...I think your calender photo should be July...you have printed June..:wink:

C'mon Prateek! I'm sure you're pretty handy with a camera. Besides, it's you guys that will vote, and nobody is going to vote for the same guys over and over... are they?

aaaaaaaahkay.. I am pretty handy with a camera but no 135 !!! Anyone want to volunteer their car for a session ??

Fair call, I've changed it to '1 Series only', so those with a hatch don't feel left out!

LOL that'll be because quite a few of us don't have a 1er yet and in my case, not for quite some time

So that counts me out of participating in this thread, but I'll still be viewing and enjoying the great pics the rest of you put up :smile:

One of my favourite shots I took back in 2005 the 5 days after I got my car. I was snap happy and took weird and wonderful pics in all directions :smile:
Don't expect to win, but thought I'd start the ball rolling.

its not bad at all. If the bottom of the picture was blacked out to remove the handbrake and footwell, it would be very good.

Xa-coupe, head down to Southern BM and you may get a glimpse of my car in pieces on a hoist! Haha. Hey that may be a cool shot...from the bottom!
