Wheels Magazine rate it
There's a small review of the 135 in July Wheels mag. It won best sports coupe under 150k. Beat the 335, TT, Cayman, S5, Z4M, RX8 and 350z.
To quote : "the 135i walked away from them all- by a country mile'' I also saw a a review in New car buyer which also gave it 5 stars.

Hey Harpoon, have you seen the UK auto show "Fifth Gear"? They recently tested the 135 coupe against the Cayman. Really interesting.... a snippet of that episode is here ... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/113168...n_vs_bmw_135i/ |

I've got the latest Wheels Magazine. In fact BMW's won 8 out of the 16 categories and came second in 3 categories

Yes amazing how many BMWs there are there. Sort of like the international engine awards..... another BMW dominated result.

Premium Compact Premium Mid-Large Convertibles Sports Sedan Sports Roadsters Sports Coupes Hot Hatches Medium SUVs The only categories that BMW are in but didn't win was Premium Medium (325i beaten by MB C280) and Compact SUVs (X3 beaten by Outlander). [not sure where you're third category came from DTNJNQ???] It would have been interesting to see where the JCW Cooper S would have slotted in considering that it will come with DSC as standard and that was the only thing stopping the regular Cooper S from winning the hot hatch category.

I need to get a copy of that mag, I will have to see if I can get a subscription in the states, their website looks nice too. Is it a good all around car mag?

Saw a survey a few months back on Sydney women how they rate cars in terms of the male driver. They said the Mini Cooper was most likely to be driven by Gay's and the car they liked guys to drive the most was the new Range Rover.

It's one of the 2 car magazines in Australia. Motor magazine is more performance focused and Wheels is more for your normal day to day drivers cars. Though they are both quite good. I would get a Motor subscription over Wheels. I just bought it 'casue it had the 135 in it:thumbup:

I actually just picked up a copy of Top Gear Australia (!!!!!!!) from a roadhouse 150km outside of Katherine in the NT (I've spent the past month working up in Tennant Creek).
I'll cancel my wheels subscription which was a present and change it over, Wheels was rubbish, this new TG magazine is the best of the british with a *lot* of Aussie stuff. Meanwhile, they too rank the 135 highly. Flawless was how they concluded the article.

Yes, it is!
$7.95, with content from the up to date UK issue, not the $8 delayed 3 month jobbie.

Very favourable towards the 135i coupe scoring 18/20  It was was the highest rated score I read on quite a number of different car types being reviewed, BMW is definitely onto a winner with this car !!! |

For some reason in that same article in the "Convertibles Under $100K" section, they opted for the 125i Convertible and it still came first ahead of the 325i vert which placed third..
So where does it place the 135i convertible..?? |
