BMW finance?

Hi all,

just wondering if anyone here has ever used BMW finance to finance/lease their cars?

I am probably leasing through work but all this guaranteed buyback talk is somewhat enticing. I haven't crunched the numbers yet but just wondering if anyone can shed some light on whether its worthwhile?

cheers

Anything with guaranteed buyback either has the risk built into the price or is based on a residual low enough to guarantee a profit to the funder based on the term / agreed km limit.

You don't get something for nothing.

I have BMW finance but not any of this guaranteed buy back stuff. I have a balloon at the end of my finance period but that isn't any form of guaranteed residual value, it's an amount that I either have to pay out or refinance upon expiration of my finance.

Thats true spdrcr.

I have used BMW finance for some time now. There rates are very competitive and there are no hidden broker or admin fees.

Would never take up the guaranteed buy back due to the very low residual offered on that type of finance.

I am lucky to do 10k km's per year so my trade in value is always good.

Is 5 years with a 45% balloon a reasonable option to go for, or is 45% wishful thinking?

I used BMW FS for 7 BMW's but the last one (the 135) went to Pentagon Federal for obvious reasons. BMW FS however has stellar customer service, when I totalled my E90 they fought the insurance for me to get me a payoff above and beyond the car's value. IF BMW FS rates stay competitive enough, use them!

I second kirkx5m.. If the rates are reasonable then use BMWFS.
The service is truly outstanding. Ultimate Pay option at no charge is fantastic. I used them for my Cooper S and my Z3.
I hope to use them again with my 135.

Does anyone know if the lease is transferable with BMW Finance? That could be attractive to me in the future as I financed the 135i under my business but may want to transfer to myself in the future but may not want to pay out on it.

Depends on your K's Cory..:iono:
I normally go 4 years 45% balloon but I average about 8K km's per year and still come out in front on the trade-in.

I went for 4 years 30%. It's my company car so I am trying to minimise the residual so that I can sell it to myself cheap later on without looking too suss. Lol.

I too have used BMW finance. My business normally deals with Esanda for all car purchases but BMW slightly bettered the rates offered by Esanda.
That's also without the hefty early payout figure penalty quoted from Esanda being taken into consideration.
Found the BMW insurance very competitive as well.

I am using them for both my cars, and they usually have the best rates. If not you can always negotiate with them!
