Saw this car at Bimmerfest with the gold mesh/chrome wheels. I thought they clashed with the car's color and looked too bling/dub/gangsta...

Those wheels don't exactly fit the silver color imo.. would look good on AW or one of the blacks.. Still a nice wheel though. On the other hand, the white lip wheel is just not for me. Cool pictures though, hope to see more posters

Both wheels are extremely poor choices!

yes, but make the gold centers silver and make the white lips polished aluminum and we have something there

I guess i'm one of the few that actually like the way both wheels look on the car. the ppl who say they dont like them must not have been at bimmerfest because there were ALOT of cars with that "Straight out of Compton" look to them.

What the pics of the turner motorsports AW 135i don't really show here is that those white lipped wheels are actually metallic white that was a shade or two off from the car's color instead of a matching alpine white.
Plus, I think brake dust would make this setup look especially bad, unless you like cleaning your wheels after every 50 miles you drive. Btw, VMR had some sweet looking forged wheels on a 3er. Those would look great on a 1er if they produce them in the right sizes, plus they should save on the unsprung weight of the car. |
