The Bar for Heated Seats, PDC, Etc.

If you don't get heated seats or anything on that bar, is it just blank or is there no bar?

my center unit doesnt look like that, perhaps b/c i dont have navi?

Interesting question!
Judging by the your pic and the ones on the BMWNA website, it looks like there are dummy buttons. In recent BMW models, the bar (space for buttons) has always been there with at least one button for the DSC (or ASC) - but no dummy buttons.

Good points! I just cancelled PDC in favor of heated seats just to keep my "bar" looking full. I believe those without PDC or heated seats get just a blank panel w/no bar. good place for future location of auxiliary gauges!!

That picture makes me glad I got comfort access!

What's with those tiny knobs on the stereo? Damn, I like big-ass volume knobs (that go to 11).

yeah, i was thinking of mounting an XM retrofit in there (the sportster would do quite well), but gauges sound like a good idea too!

The convertible has two buttons on the bar --- one for open, and guess what, a second one to close. With heated seats our vert will use up four button spaces.
