So what did you (pre-order) guys do to pass the time
Since I really can't compare my situation to anyone that is current sitting in the production status now, I really have to compare myself to the pre-order guys who placed orders circa November/December 2007. What did you guys do to pass the time? What did you distract yourself with. I know posting and visiting this site isn't helping either.
I'm a pretty sick person that I log into oc.bmwusa.com twice a day just to view my config and see if the arrow moved or call the 800# just to see if it updated any faster than the website, but reality check - 4mo and 2 weeks to go! I'm tempted to go to the dealer to test drive one again. I'm still up in the air about colors (Sapphire Black vs. Alpine White).

Several days and no replies, help me out here guys...I swear work just seems to be slower now that I'm patiently waiting.

There really isn't anything that makes it any faster or easier. In the beginning this forum helps but, eventually it makes it worse. Everybody talking about there cars, and you have one, but you can't get to it. I ordered on March 2, I am still waiting and have had to read about people who ordered after me get there cars early for various reasons. Find the thread with people in the same build week as you. The time goes by slowly, I don't know what else to tell you. :iono:

Well I ordered an existing dealer's allocation for ED and pushed the date forward for a late Aug delivery date, now pushing to mid Sept delivery date to take advantage of the cheaper airfares and hotel stays + free stay and meals in Italy thanks to my company. So now I had to modify my counter and am waiting 4mo, 4 weeks for delivery to my car.
Unlike some guys in August taking ED, I don't have an ED packet yet nor a cute gumby clock to watch. I e-mailed my CA yesterday to see if there is an update on my order yet and if they changed delivery dates per my request. May just call him later. But in the end, its futile since I won't be in my 135i for almost 5mo. My production # has no schduled production date yet so there is no week # group to look for support.

viamichelin - (Zell am See, Austria; then on to the Grosglockner to Heiligenblut, Austria; Cortina d'Ampezzo Italy; Bormio then the Stelvio Pass, Umbrail then on to Davos Switzerland - that's a couple of places to start looking for twisty bits ; -)

I keep purchasing shit for my car while I wait. LOL. Simple things like the GP thunder bulbs, shadowline grill, all weather matts, euro headlight switch. Things along those lines. Then keeping up with what is in progress that I might want. So when the car does get here I get to slap it all on and not have to wait for the accessories to get here.

I'm heading straight for Zell am See and the Grossglockner. I think I'm going to spend one day going down it, then then another day up it.

As for my 944 and 350z - they are currently both for sale as I am consolidating my fleet, so racing those are out of the question either Thanks for the contributions to the thread so far, keep them coming!!
