question about engine bay trim pieces.
I was doing some work and noticed that the front of my engine bay on the pass. side has a little piece of plastic trim that attaches to the strut bar right near the hood opening. but there isnt one on the drivers side. What the heck is it. a cant even find a picture of another M4 that has one.
it looks like its used to channel some air flow. sorry I dont have a pic Im at work. |

Definitely a picture would help figure out and allow people to help you. I think I know which piece you are talking about but not sure. Is it near where you fill up oil?

That is for channeling water from the CS hood vent opening.

its only for that one side. Like the guy above said its to channel water from the vent. Not necessary and I think it came with earlier GTS models although not entirely sure.
