IFH-10 error when trying to talk to EDC module

EDC is malfunctioning on the new ride, with a steering angle sensor correction out of range error. Some sleuthing pointed me to needing to manually reset the adjustment value through Tool32, but when I do that it says "ok" but doesn't actually change the value.

When I try to run the steering angle calibration from ISTA, i get IFH-10 communication disturbed error. Get the same error in INPA when trying to touch anything chassis-related. I'm able to scan the car for codes and clear them, so it's working otherwise... This is with a new-ish BimmerGeeks cable. I tried another cable I had laying around and got an IFH-9 error with the same message.

Is this a cable issue? Connector issue? EDC module itself?

I think I have an M3 problem.
