Another 335 to M Post - My mini Review - New Owner

After a year and a half of owning a 335i coupe I finally pulled the trigger on a 08 M3 coupe. I purchased the car this past Sunday and immediately forgot about the 335. It was love at first sight! Even though I'm still in the break-in period this car has been magnificent. From the leather to the looks and the sound to the feel... oh man oh man. I felt like a little kid at a toy store. The whole entire time while going over the car my girlfriend mentioned I had a grin on my face. I didn't even listen to the guy that was going over the car with me as the car took control over me. That first time when the car started up it sent chills down my spine and goose bumps over my entire body. The 1200 mile service feels so far away. It's a little awkward staring at that hump in the hood but it makes me realize that this is not the 335 anymore. The 335 was a great car to have but I had needed something more. The M3 has done that and more. I will post pictures this weekend if I can. The M is a 6mt AW with carbon fiber roof with almost every single option. Thanks for listening!

Congratulations!!! I can relate to "hypnotized by the M" state ;-) I got mine a month ago and enjoy every second of it so far.... I cannot find enough things to do, so that I can take the car out

But just think of how much more fun you could have with a drop-top M3 E93, with essentially the same street performance
Congrats on your new car

I enjoy the impressions of other enthusiasts no matter how many of them I read. Love the passion. Why else would I be on these boards?

I too came from a 335 and couldn't be happier. Congratulations!

To Op. Congrats, I did the same thing and I don't miss the 335i at all. I look back at this car every time I walk away from it and like many others I find every excuse possible to drive it.

I know what you mean about being slightly overwhelmed the day you pick up your M3. The salesman was going down his checklist (as the manufacturer requires, I'm sure) explaining the fan operation, mirrors, radio, blah, blah, blah, and I'm saying I won't remember ANY of this stuff until I read the manual and start playing around with it myself so save your breath and just give me the fucking keys!

Congrats! You're going to love this car. I've been hypnotized by the ///M3 ever since I owned my first one in 2003. Talk about voodoo magic.
