Oil Level too High

So I know there are many threads discussing oil level being too high after an oil change but I couldn't find one highlighting my specific concern;
I got my oil change done about a month ago, and the gauge in the center of dash said > MAX, and my idrive also said oil level too high. I spoke to my mechanic he said it shouldn't be an issue. It's been a thousand miles since with no issues, however my oil level has not gone down at all. wondering how I should move forward, and if I should keep driving.

Or pull 200 mL from your oil filter housing then recheck level.

Ive had a few oil changes after putting in the 9 L of oil it would show > MAX as well. I just drove it, no issues, it eventually went down but took several thousand miles. If I were you, I'd just keep driving it.

Clearly if it were going to cause a problem it would have done it by now. Some cars tolerate overfill better than others, but it also depends on how much over. If it is just a fraction of a liter then it is nothing to worry about. As mentioned the easiest way is to vac some out of the filter housing.
