Climate Control unit replacement issue -help!

So I'm trying to replace my climate control unit in my 2011 128i with auto climate.
I have a replacement module that looks to be identical, however when I install it in the car, it's stuck on full blast AC. The replacement unit was said to be fully functioning before I bought it. I believe it came out of an X5 or a 530i, something like that.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a coding issue, or something else? Thanks!
