F80 M3 CF driveshaft in e9x m3?

Cowbell noise came out recently on my e90 m3 thinking on upgrading to solid driveshaft and wondering if F80 CF driveshaft will fit? They go for about $500-$700 used.

Someone from the M3 V8 owners FB had one fitted, it required modifying and rebalancing as it is not a drop-in.

That is one way to do things … and occasionally it may give the desired result.

Post the details. This is one of my complaints about Facebook groups. They have sucked the life out of forums, and while a few individuals posting in the groups are doing really great things, there are usually very few details for others to use to follow and there is no search-ability so people ask the same questions over and over again.

That much was obvious. The question is how much difference and whether there are any easy, cost effective ways to address it. Adding a spacer, removing and cutting down a trans output flange or diff outpug flange, compressibility or extensibility of the cv joint, etc,

Then why did you ask the question?

So the OP could learn something — this is not my project (I bought a CF shaft for my E90 that fit and worked perfectly).

its not compatible, you will spend more than the cost of a new oem driveshaft trying to make it work.
