No production Week - What's the hold up?

Hey guys,

Starting another of many such threads: I had a 2022 allocation and a production number since November 2021. It has gone through status 111 to 112 with production scheduled for January 2022, March 2022, May 2022 and now finally back to status 105 i.e. no production week.

I cannot understand what the hold-up is nor can my dealer explain to me. Last time they said it is the carbon bucket seats. This was in January/Feb 2022 and now everytime I ask they keep referring back to carbon bucket seats.

Yet, I'm seeing people taking deliveries with the bucket seats?

Don't want to cancel order as I'd still like to have the car, but really not sure what to change in the config to speed up the production.

Would appreciate any advice!

Keep waiting man. I had a m3cx on order and eventually cancelled and got an f80. I love my car and don't regret it at all, but if I had to choose again I'd have defjnitely waited it out, the m3cx is a crazy quick car and imo this new gen of M3/M4 is the first gen with significant street presence. These older M cars are more subtle. I still think about the IOMG/KO combo I could've had sometimes lmao

There were a total of two people in my two months of ownership of my G82 that even asked about the car. Nobody cared.

I get two a day minimum (waving, honking, pointing, asking about the car) when driving my F8x cars. Had a guy at Target just let night snipe me in the vegetable section of the store asking me if that was my F80 in the parking lot as he saw me pull in. Wound up talking with him for nearly 10 minutes about cars. The F8x lightly modded is a rock star.

G8x street presence? I was invisible in the damned thing, I'd never owned a car people cared so little about.

You made the overwhelmingly correct decision in the end.
