R-134A refrigerant leak?
I have had to add freon twice (2016 750) over the past 4 weeks.. there must be a leak somewhere. A/C simply started blowing warm air and the addition of a full can of freon from my local BP station has fixed the problem temporarily. Does anyone know of a common part failure causing this? Maybe a plastic part failing somewhere?

Just stating the obvious here, hope you've made sure the temp control slider is on neutral or blue (cool) just under the center air vents.
Sorry, can't be more helpful, not sure of any commonly failing part in the A/C system.

Secondly, Repair the system as soon as possible because a leak in the system causes rusting of very expensive components (air conditioning compressor), I think that the dryer is already damp to the maximum and it is only suitable for replacement. The refrigerant (R134a) is mixed with oil to ensure component maintenance and tightness of the system. Lastly, Proper use of air conditioning means - use every day for a full year, then the losses of the refrigerant are the smallest and the whole works without failures for many years. After 3 R-134A top-offs, I took her in for service. Took several days to find out it is the evaporator leaking. $4200 to replace it. Thank God for my extended warranty.
Also getting $2600 worth of so-called M Sport brakes/rotors for option code S2NHA. Ouch. |
