Roof damaged at windshield - how much will this hurt?

So on my way to work a tree branch fell and damaged my windshield and the front of the roof. Is this going to be an easy fix? Luckily I don't have the cf roof.

Comprehensive should cover it, and all you have to pay is the deductible. Call your insurance, and no, your rate should not be affected.

I was thinking very much the same thing. Clearly time for a new windshield and seal for a long while.

Sheet metal should not be too bad a fix for a competent shop, and you will get a respray of the top to boot.

I was planning to do the seal, since it's cheap and not very difficult. I have some hood damage after looking over the car so maybe a respray of the whole front will be needed. It's a E92 with a sunroof and I'd really like to get the carbon sunroof delete but it doesnt look like any damage to the glass.

UPDATE: Looks like $2752 in damages. $1355 in parts including windshield, sunroof glass, and the molding. Another $1350 in labor. There was some damage near the front of the hood that will be repainted so I'm going to have them repaint the entire front bumper as well to get rid of all my unsightly rock chips. That'll run about $700.

I've been wanting to repaint the hood and bumper for a while now so I guess this moved things along.

$2700 all in? I'd say that's not to bad.
Some shops will charge that much just for a bumper respray.

My deductible is $1500 so the insurance is picking up anything higher than that. Comprehensive wont affect my rates so it's a no brainer to file. The $700 extra is for the bumper respray. So all in all I should be out close to $2200.

The shop has fantastic reviews and a good friend said their paint work is top notch. Let's hope for the best! I'll keep this thread updated.
