door lock stubs are horrible, capital punishment for that

pedals look okay.. like 8/10. and i just dont see how they'd improve shifting techniques

The pedals look good, personally I like a little bit of rubber on them for grip though.

No rubber on the pedals worries me a little!

The pedals are clear anodized for added protection from the elements. As for being worried about no rubber, I had the M Tech pedal pad set on my E46 M3 & I had more slipping when my shoes were wet than I do with the MRTM Design Pedal Pads. The reason is because of the angle at which the pedals are made/cut that give a better grip than any rubber insert. A friend of mine who installed these on his Z4M did a test using flip flops & dunking them in water & then driving with them. He was very happy that he still had grip even under those conditions. He tracks his Z4M with them & also has them on his E39 M5:

Yeah, those are definitely going to be slippery if you have wet soles. Otherwise look good. Roundel buttons are no-no, though, IMO.

Honestly, no more than with a rubber insert! I used to have the "M Tech" pedal pad set (the ones with rubber inserts) on my E46 M3 & I slipped more on those than the MRTM Design Pedal Pads. ANY fully wet shoe will slip on ANY pedal pad set! Common sense is to try to get your shoes as dry as possible on the floor mat (what it's intended for) no matter what pedal pad set you use.

I have these pedals on my wife's X5 and on all my BMWs. She drives with them & have never said anything or complained to me about her feet ever slipping after getting in her X5 & driving when it's a downpour here in FL. Believe me, it doesn't matter that I designed these, she would bitch & complain if they made her feel unsafe! I trust my 15 month old daughter's life, my wife's life, as well as my own, using these pedal pads! Unless you physically see/feel these pedals, the way they are machined creates a grip that stays, even when your shoes are wet!

Honestly, go to the M5Board, MFestForums.com or any other board & ask those who have the MRTM Design Pedal Pads on their car. You will get real feedback from those who drive with them everyday in ALL weather conditions. MRTM Design is a very small company & is just been around just over 1 year. IND and a local shop, Serious Autosports have just picked up the MRTM Design products and Horsepowerfreaks.com have been selling them for a year now.

Oh, also...the door lock studs are a very subtle mod...they do not jump out at you like the up close pictures make them look. Anyone who has seen them on my cars & in person really like them! Of course not all mods fits everyones tastes

Good to know, thanks. They are very nice looking, IMO. I haven't done pedals yet. It would be between these and Ultimate Pedals for me.
