Looking for NJ/NY X5M Owners (Custom mud flaps)
Hey guys, so I've been working with Tommy L Garage (I'm sure you guys have seen him on YouTube etc), to try and come up with a slim clean mudflap for our cars. Looking for something similar to what he produces and sells to the F8X community, although I think we need it more as the PSS tires are large, sticky and kick up a ton of rocks and debris. This is even made worse since most of us run spacers.
In any case, he's really excited about the idea, and has been wanting to make these for our cars as well, but needs a car to mock up and take measurements on. I'm located in CA, so that doesn't work obviously. He's located in NJ, and I told him I would ask on the forums and see if we have a local member that would be willing to meet up with him. Let me know, thanks! Last edited by TapOut; 01-02-2021 at 02:40 PM.. |

Wouldn't mind having a set for winter, I think I asked Tom about it in the comments on YT a while back. If my car was around I would definitely volunteer for the mock up.

Newbie here with my F85 but would anyone know if OEM mud flaps for regular X5 (F15) fit our F85? Not sure if our fenders flare out more or if it's exactly the same body. If anyone knows for sure please advise. Thanks!

If you still need someone let me know. I believe I'm probably closest to him based on the roads he drives in his vids are close to me lol. Finding the time might be challenging right now but I'm sure we can connect. Personally I prefer the looks of the OEM mud flaps over what he has on that F80 pic but I'm an F85 team player so I'll do it for the family! |

I don't know, but in opinion I don't think these vehicle look good with mud flaps. But that just my opinion 🤔

They look great without mud flaps, no doubt, but living in New England and getting to a mountain during the winter or campsite during the summer or fall lends itself to this kind of product. If I can use that instead of putting a protective film all over the car, then it’s an option I’d consider.
