Revised: 2007 BMW Z4 with about 8,000 miles
Hi. My father-in-law passed away recently. His 2007 Z4 Convertible is in the Palm Beach area in Florida. The car has about 8,000 miles on it and is very well maintained. I am helping my mother-in-law with the sale of the car and am trying to gauge what we can expect for it. I have a better sense for classic 4x4s but haven't dealt with Z4s. I was considering listing it on bringatrailer.com. Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Hi David,
Sorry for your loss. Perhaps adding some additional info (engine size, model, transmission, exterior and interior color, etc) will allow a more refined response to your request.

Consider contacting Enthusiast Auto in Cincinnati. You may be surprised what they will pay you. They specialise in low mileage BMWs. Or Bringatrailer is another good option. Just make sure to get a photographer to take the photos and get a high end detail shop to clean her up 1st. Both will pay dividends.

Thanks. Very helpful suggestion. I will need to get the records in Florida at the beginning of January and will update.

Jus FYI- EAG does not buy non-M Z4, carsandbids.com and BaT should fetch you what it deserves. Good luck and strength to your family.

I would guess high 20s. There are a couple very low mileage M's that have sold in recent years, typically fetching high 30s to mid 40s. The non-Ms are not as desirable obviously, but it seems to have resulting in many fewer non-Ms being "preserved" as it were, i.e. still existing ~15 years later with such low mileage. So that should count strongly in your favor.
I've owned my M for >8 years now. I can only remember seeing 5-6 Z4s sold in that period with less than 10k miles on them, and all of them were Ms. So I think you've got something pretty unusual. Sorry for your loss, best of luck with everything. |

You’re looking at low to mid teens. Not a desirable car especially with auto transmission. Low mileage is the plus but those fetching for higher price are sitting on their cars for months/years looking for unrealistic selling price.

M Sport suspension is a plus, as of course is the mileage. Automatic gearbox is probably a negative but folks of a certain age are sometimes happy to have it. I'd say mid teens would be a low end, 20-ish at the top end. Good luck!
