Just bought a 2010 135i convertible!
Hi. New to the board. Thanks for reading.
I'm picking up my new to me 2010 135i convertible next week. After years of wanting and months of searching, I finally decided to pull the trigger. I settled on an automatic after months of searching for a stick shift. I REALLY WANTED a manual, but the convertibles sticks seemed to be $4,000+ more than the autos with similar miles. I just couldn't justify the cost as a 3rd car and having two young children. When I was 17, (1991) I bought my first car- a 1981 320i with the buck-toothed bumper. It wasn't perfect, but it was mine. After graduation, I bought a 72 2002tii. It was amazing. I really liked that other kids my age didn't appreciate how cool it was. Ended up selling it to my older brother and it's still sitting n his garage. It's going through a typical 20 year restoration. A while back, I had an 05 e46 that I loved. Creeping rust and a looming $1500 repair job forces us to part ways. Anyway. That's my story. Happy to be back behind the wheel of a classic drivers car and looking forward to the board. I'm holding off on asking questions while I just search everything. Thanks for your time and thanks for having me. Happy Driving Shaymer! |

Congrats!! And welcome. My 1er is my first car that is not a manual, that is not an suv. I dont think I'd go back at this point. The ease of not having to shift all the time. The fun of being able to shift when you want to. The old lady D mode for when my wife drives. And AT is faster
Best of luck with it!! |

I still like my 135i convertible after almost 9 year of owning it.
I was THIS close to buying a Z4 440 right when the virus hit. I'm glad I didn't because now working from home I hardly drive anywhere anymore. I would have a $70k car sitting in my garage most of the time.
